"Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:20) (English Standard Version)
The Household Embassy Movement is a revival and reform movement Christian householders from all kinds of churches and denominations who simply trust God enough to actually obey Him.
When Paul says we are ambassadors for Christ, we start acting like we believe it's true by managing our own household as an embassy of the kingdom of God. We routinely devote our home and family to practicing hospitality so that others can taste and see that the Lord is good.
When our King commands us to practice the Golden Rule of His kingdom by doing for others what we would have others do for us in similar circumstances, we trust Him enough to live the Golden Rule out as a beautiful way of life.
The Household Embassy Movement exists within the church community simply to make the truth of 2 Corinthians 5:20 a more practical, observable, reality.
Join us in this great adventure.

The Household Embassy Movement is affiliated with any and every church whose members are willing to make use of our events and resources for the purpose of evangelism and making disciples. Though our leadership team shares a common background and several attend the same local church (i.e Gresham Household of Faith, www.ghofcc.org), we are not limited to any one church or denomination.
Whoever brings a guest to one of our events is expected to follow through and take their guest to church with them on the following weekend if at all possible. Our movement is not intended to divert guests or church members away from one church and into another, but rather to make every believer a better member of the local church where he or she currently attends.
We encourage Christian householders and pastors in every local church to make use our events and resources to help grow your own church membership by means of more effective evangelism. |

Yes, we do plan to host Household Embassy Banquets and Breakfasts as evangelistic events. But right now we are focused on developing a weekly podcast and study-group curriculum based on the Households of Strength Seminar to help spread the message of the Household Embassy Movement across the country and around the world. We also plan to host at least one major fund raising banquet to help us off-=set the costs of video and print production.

Three reasons. First, we found that we were not reaching enough members of the pre-christian community. The vast majority of those who attended each month were already professing believers in Christ. So, our evangelistic efforts were not as effective as we would like.Second, after nine months of hosting monthly breakfasts and banquets we found that our financial model was not sustainable. Our sponsors were very generous, but as attendance increased, we were unable to stay ahead of costs. Noble Institute was having to subsidize about half of the costs.Third, we realized that the message we had for the Christian community was more than could be delivered in a single monthly message. A seminar and/or a study group will be far more effective at equipping believers to live as ambassadors for Christ. Our new Households of Strength Seminar will be offered in May or June of 2011 in the Portland area and in nine other major cities across the U.S. In the mean time we are offering our weekly Coffeehouse Podcast at the Park Place Coffee in Rockwood district of Gresham, Oregon. This event is an evangelistic discussion format on a different topic each week (similar to our banquets, but more casual and extemporaneous). Everyone is welcome to sit in on the podcast as part of our "studio audience" as long as seats are available. The event is free of charge each week, but please be sure to buy at least one cup of coffee per person to help support the coffee shop. |

The Gospel of the Kingdom of God is the same Gospel that Jesus and all the apostles preached. It is the Gospel of salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus alone for the glory of God alone. The only reason we refer to it as the Gospel of the Kingdom of God is to distinguish it from the dumbed down version of the gospel that many hear today that often fails to mention the importance of repenting from sin, trusting in God enough to actually obey Jesus, the crucial importance of being born again and the practical meaning of being transferred out of the dark kingdoms of this world and into the glorious Kingdom of God's dear Son, Jesus Christ. It is simply a more through, doctrinally sound, presentation of the Gospel concerning Jesus Christ. |

1. You can get started by praying for the movement. Pray "prayerfully" for God to revive and reform His church and bring effective evangelism to each community.
2. Then listen to our weekly "Coffeehouse Podcast with Gregg Harris."
3. Send us your own ideas on how we can ignite this movement.
4. If you are able to do so, financially support Noble Institute's work with a monthly donation of any amount. Thank you for your generosity!
5. As our Households of Strength Seminar is
scheduled for ten major cities across the country each year, make sure to
attend the one that comes nearest you and invite at least two other like-minded householders to attend with you.
6. Help bring the seminar to your state or region.
7. Build your own local chapter of the Household Embassy Movement in your church and community. Help us get the word out.
Remember, we value YOU and the important part you play.
God bless you and welcome to the Household Embassy Movement! |
